Leicester City Football Club officially confirmed the departure of three key players whose contracts are set to expire at the end of June. Among them is club legend Marc Albrighton, who has made 313 appearances for the team across various competitions. Albrighton was a pivotal part of Leicester City's historic English Premier League title, FA Cup triumph, Community Shield victory, and Championship success.

The winger made history for the Foxes in September 2016 by scoring the club's first-ever goal in the UEFA Champions League against Club Brugge. Albrighton will be remembered as one of the most successful and beloved players in the club's history, having contributed significantly during the team's most successful period.

Joining Albrighton in departing the club is striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who is ending his seven-year spell with the Foxes. Iheanacho, who arrived from Manchester City in August 2017, has scored 61 goals for Leicester City, including the winning goal against his former club in the 2021 Community Shield at Wembley.

Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans is also set to leave the club this summer after joining from Sampdoria in August 2019. Tielemans has made 107 appearances for Leicester City, finding the back of the net five times during his tenure at the King Power Stadium.

The club is still in negotiations with midfielder Nampalys Mendy regarding his future beyond the expiration of his current contract. Mendy's contractual situation remains unresolved as Leicester City looks to secure the midfielder's services moving forward.

Leicester City expressed its gratitude to the departing players for their contributions to the club during their time with the Foxes. The club wishes them success in their future endeavors and professional careers as they embark on the next chapters in their footballing journeys.
